COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Update July 2021

All personnel at KOK continue to work closely with our Clients and Contractors in developing and adapting the approach to Covid management arrangements following the Government removal of restrictions whilst ensuring everyone involved in, or affected by, construction works remains safe. We are proud that our service has evolved and quality remained consistent with no staff furloughed or business interruption, providing proactive, practical advice and robust helpful site safety audits throughout the previous lockdowns.

The Government has also published Working Safely During Coronavirus (COVID-19): Guidance from Step 4 https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-covid-19/construction-and-other-outdoor-work which KOK have adopted as the minimum acceptable standard for construction sites.

Our Surveyors continue to monitor the developing situation in anticipation of dealing with any Contractual conditions which may arise on projects affected by the pandemic, and we have given advice as appropriate.

Keelagher Okey Klein are closely following Public Health England’s and UK wide guidance for employers and businesses on the issue of COVID-19.

For the present, it has been decided that KOK staff will mainly continue working from home and each have access to our IT network and emails, and personnel can be contacted on work mobiles at any time. If you do not have our work mobiles, our staff on HQ office telephone (01925 654158) will respond, where we can take messages and get the appropriate person to call you back as soon as possible.

This is an important step in our Business Continuity plan to support your business and our Clients as we continue to provide our usual high standard of service.
