Clerk of Works
Acting as an impartial, independent inspector, a Clerk of Works monitors construction works for compliance with specifications and drawings on behalf of the Client in order to ensure that works are completed to agreed standards and on schedule.
A Clerk of Works is either on site all the time or makes regular visits to ensure that the correct materials and workmanship are used whilst ensuring that the Client is provided with quality work and value for money. They keep detailed records of various aspects of the work which they put together in regular reports for the Client and their Project Team in order to improve build quality, save money and ensure timely completion.
Our Clerk of Works are highly experienced in a wide range of projects and sectors having completed projects in housing, healthcare, education, local authority, commercial and infrastructure. Our Head of CoW Services, Chris Dowbekin, regularly receives glowing feedback and this is a testament to the hard work and dedication he puts in to each and every one of his projects:
The recommendations we received were completely justified. My observations of Christopher are that he is very conscientious, attentive and customer focussed with excellent communication and planning skills. Your input has been priceless and very much appreciated.
