‘NO-RISK’ SELF-EMPLOYED FROM HEALTH AND SAFETY LAW

Self-employed people whose work activities pose no potential risk of harm to others will be exempted from health and safety law, under Health & Safety Executive proposals to implement one of the recommendations in the May 2011 Lofstedt review:- (http://tinyurl.com/bizinf-313k3). The proposed exemption would not apply to self-employed people in high-risk occupations or those who employ others.
