Llangollen Chain Bridge

Keelagher Okey Klein provided CDM services on this historic chain bridge restoration project after it was closed over 30 years ago due to safety fears.

The local council spent £326,000 on restoring the 19th century bridge, which is thought to be the oldest chain links bridge in the world, back to its former glory.

Samantha Jones, Chain Bridge heritage officer said: “This has really been a labour of love for all involved and it’s so exciting to see all that hard work finally come to fruition.”

The town councils received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, WREN, Denbighshire Council, Cadwyn Clwyd and the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB for the bridge restoration project.
