The National Graphene Institute project, where Keelagher Okey Klein provided CDM services, has received a Commendation at the Civic Trust Awards:-

Located at the University of Manchester’s Science Quarter, the National Graphene Institute is a world-leading research/incubator centre dedicated to the development of graphene and crucial to the UK staying at the forefront of the commercialisation of this revolutionary material. Manchester professors Sir Andre Geim and Sir Kostya Novoselov first isolated graphene at The University of Manchester in 2004 and were jointly awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics.

They collaborated closely with the design team to develop a world-class centre, designed and built to be a building with a purpose. The compact, five-storey building’s main cleanroom is located in the basement to achieve best vibration performance, while its ceiling is cleverly angled around the outside of the building so that the scientists are visible to the public from the pavement. The building also includes a second cleanroom and laser, optical, metrology and chemical laboratories, a seminar suite, offices and ancillary accommodation.

Our team of Principal Designers and CDM Professionals are highly experienced in Higher Education, Science and Laboratory projects. For further details, please call Paul Jones or John Okey on 01925 654158.
