Continued Professional Development Training

Continued Professional Development Training

March 12, 2018 |

In February, we hosted two CPD Training Events at The Park Royal Hotel (Warrington) on the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, lead by KOK Director John Okey and one of our Senior Construction Health & Safety Advisors, Robin Doughton.

The events on 16th and 23rd of February were attended by delegates (Clients, Contractors and Designers) from a wide range of companies and organisations such as Novus, NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority), GVA, Whitfield & Brown, Warrington & Halton NHS, Halliday Meecham, Liverpool Hope University, Harry Fairclough, Dewar Partnership, WML Consulting, Fairhursts, Hulley & Kirkwood, Pennine Care NHS, ESD, Qwest/Engie, LC Building Consultants, Halton Borough Council, S I Sealy & Associates, E3 Cube Ltd, East Cheshire NHS Trust and MC Construction.

The introduction of the CDM 2015 Regulations on 6th April 2015 meant big changes for construction health & safety professionals and even bigger changes for Clients. The new Regulations are more onerous than their 1994 and 2007 predecessors and impose absolute duties upon the Client (Regulation 4) that must be satisfied regardless of cost or any other consideration.
With these duties extending to all construction projects regardless of value, complexity or duration, it is of paramount importance that Clients, Principal Contractors and Principal Designers alike fully understand their obligations and, if not fully equipped to perform their duties themselves, enlist the advice and expertise of others in order to complete works in compliance with the Regulations.

Keelagher Okey Klein offer a variety of CDM services to assist clients, designers and contractors in maintaining CDM compliance on their projects.
